2 dead in shooting at trucking company in Katy, Texas

Numerous media outlets are reporting that a two people are dead and several others injured this morning in a shooting incident at a Knight Transportation facility in Katy, Texas.

The New York Daily News says, “A disgruntled Texas trucking company employee shot and killed one of his coworkers and injured another before turning his gun on himself Wednesday morning, officials said.”

The gunman’s name has yet to be released.

NBC News reports the man had been terminated this morning, and returned to the facility at about 9 a.m. armed with a shotgun

Two nearby schools were placed on lockdown.

Katy is a suburb of Houston.
