Bank sues Arrow Trucking

In a lawsuit against Arrow Trucking, a bank alleges the flatbed carrier conducted a fraudulent scheme to overbill the institution and appropriated federal and state tax obligations for its own use.
On Jan. 8, Ogden, Utah-based Transportation Alliance Bank sued the family-run trucking company for $12.5 million in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. Defendants include Carol Pielsticker, director and chairwoman, and Doug Pielsticker, former chief executive officer and president.
The carrier filed for bankruptcy and had a board meeting that same day, when it accepted Doug Pielsticker’s resignation.
The suit states TAB’s agreement with Arrow Trucking was to buy certain accounts receivable, but alleges the carrier had misrepresented itself in signing the agreement, including not disclosing a vendor’s lawsuit.
When TAB began investigating billing discrepancies in July, unidentified accomplices of Arrow Trucking posed as customers to verify information to the bank. The discrepancies occurred when the carrier would submit an invoice to a customer and then provide the same invoice for a higher amount to TAB, keeping the difference, the plaintiff alleges.
When Arrow Trucking closed Dec. 22, TAB’s remote connection to the company’s account receivable was terminated, leaving the institution unable to respond to customers or collect debts, the suit contends.



The way it was handled was a joke … not one person thought about the driver. As usual it’s the driver who gets the shaft all the time ……
you dam right just another reason why we as drivers should stand as ONE and stop all this BS in our world of trucking today, The Companys could careless about us they just want to work us like dogs
all we have to do is turn off our trucks . but if we do it it has to have some order .the big problem that i see is we have no body to represent us. in congress,ooida brags about all they do for us.check out what they really do, the truth is its not much. when ooida”s bigggest win is higher speed limits in illnois and ohio that should sent a signal that we have little or no representation.in the areas that we need it the most, whitch is with congress and big business
UNION drivers, Y’all must become UNION drivers
We don’t need unions, all they do is spend your money going after groups like the Tea Partiers. There would be no unions if liberal democrats didn’t prop them up financially in exchange for votes.
Unions were a good idea in their inception, but they are nothing more than fronts for mobsters now days.
If you can’t represent yourself and get a job that pays well, and has good benefits, then you either don’t qualify for one, or are too weak minded to take care of yourself and your family.
I make as much money as any union driver, and I don’t have to pay to do it, even running legal.
Unions would not be good for the economy, as it would only driver up costs for anyone that goes to the grocery store since the costs would only be passed on to the people that buy the products shipped. The benefits would be minimal compared to what most company drivers now have, as most reputable companies already provide most of what a union claims they will.
The owners and top management of Arrow need to all go to jail. This was criminal.

It’s a hard job and we get too tired to take action. If we can’t have a union we need legal standards and minimum wages enforced. It needs to be seen as a skilled trade.
You certainly can not earn your freedom anymore, especially as a company driver. Thank goodness I have a small pension from the military, because some of these poor souls out here today are just using the trucks for low cost housing.
United we can stand, divided we will fall.
Drivers must rethink how we see each other, i.e.
as a driver I am not another drivers enemy. Company drivers need not feel the need to compete with other drivers, leave the competition at the management level.

I’m an o/o and must say, I’m doing very good for my family. I’ve read over all these post and a agree with most, others seem to(no i better not say). Carl and Retired seems to have the correct answers to me. We all know that us as drivers will’nt put our ideas together because of the fear of lossing our jobs or runs. Please don’t beat down on me, I’m just stating the truth!!!!!!!!!!
If you really want to lay some blame on the right people,lay it on the truck drivers who wanted and got deregulation.That did nothing but open the door for companies like Arrow,JB Hunt and all the other big companies.Before deregulation a company could only have so many trucks.The drivers wanted the industry deregulated so they could run thier own business and they got what tthey wanted. They screwed themselves. My Daddy drove for fifty-five years. H is one of them that wanted deregulation and he told me before he passed away back in 1994 that deregulation was one of the worst things that the truckdrivers ever did to themselves. I drove otr for 22 years so this is not coming from someone who wasn’t there. I remember my Dad coming home one time with bullet holes in his truck because he was trying to get home during the strike back in the 70s.He had a sign painted on the side of his truck that he was going home to shutdown. That didn’t stop them from trying to shoot him tho. He made it home for which I am very thankful for. My Daddy was (and even tho he is no longer alive) still is my HERO. Daddy was a very smart man but,he did make his mistakes and deregulation was one of them
