Boyd Brothers Transportation, Inc., an Alabama flatbed truckload carrier, is partnering with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) to fight human trafficking.
As part of that partnership, Boyd Brothers will be hosting TAT’s Freedom Drivers Project, a 48-foot mobile exhibit showing the realities of domestic sex trafficking and what the trucking industry is doing to stop it, at two of its locations in May.
Truckers Against Trafficking exhibitOn May 3, the FDP will be available for tours by the general public at Boyd Brothers Clayton Terminal in Clayton, Alabama, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. On May 4, the FDP may be toured at Boyd Brothers Birmingham office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The FDP features five video monitors, artifacts from sex trafficking survivors with excerpts from their stories and narrative explaining ways the public can work on human trafficking as well.
In addition to hosting the FDP, Boyd Brothers is training all their employees with TAT materials and looking for other ways to be involved with TAT. Boyd is also inviting area CDL schools and other trucking companies to join them in partnering with TAT.
