If there is anything the trucking industry doesn’t need, it’s more regulations.
As a licensed, private pilot, one of my main concerns is being able to pass the FAA reqquired physical. I don’t pass the physical, I don’t fly. You may see a pilot that is maybe, 10% over his/her required weight, but you’ll never see one that is obese. Slim and trim is in!
There is no one person on this earth that likes to cook and eat as much as I do. All foods taste good to me but, I know when to quit eating.
I’m amazed at the amount of drivers that are not only overweight, they are mortally obese. I actually saw a driver in a restroom actually had to take his right arm and lift his belly so as to urinate. That’s sickening! Do you not realize that you’re killing yourself with food? You’re heart is pounding so hard in an attempt to force blood to all parts of your body. One of these day your heart will explode and possibly when you’re driving.
If there was ever a rule that needed to be passed, it is height/weight proportianate for all comercial drivers.
Please don’t give me the tired, worn out argument that you have a gland problem. Less that 1/10th of 1% of all obese people have a gland problem. The only gland problem you have is the gland under your nose and a fork.
Something else to consider is this; eating disorders come stem from stuffing back feelings.
