Crete raises starting driver pay

Crete Carrier Corp. is increasing starting driver pay at Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking 2 cents a practical mile effective May 1.
New drivers can earn from 41 cents to 44 cents a mile depending on experience. The increase restores starting driver pay to its 2007 level, the company said.
