Ice Road Trucker Dave Redmon said in an interview with Truckers News his firing from the show in the Sept. 25 episode, “The Last Dash,” was in the show’s script. “I know it doesn’t look that way on TV, obviously,” Redmon said. “They had scripted me to be the bad guy on the show, and it just scripted me to get fired,” Redmon said.

The Riverside, Ala., native said the show cited his perceived inability to be a “team player” as its justification. “My so-called attitude and not getting along with everybody [was why]. I was doing my job and I was doing it safely, I just didn’t get along with everybody.”

Three weeks after Redmon left Alaska due to his firing, he flew to Bolivia in April to start filming the Ice Road spinoff IRT: Deadliest Roads. The show premiered Sunday, the same night the episode aired in which Redmon is fired. However, Redmon says the season’s second episode, which will air Oct. 2, will be his last. He and Rick Yemm quit due to issues with unsafe equipment, Redmon said.

A full story on Redmon’s Alaska firing, his brief time in Bolivia and his legal issues with the History Channel will be posted here Tuesday, Sept. 27.

He seems nice and laid back when he’s not acting a script.

    Tony (guy name)

    Toni (girl name)

I wouldn’t never want to work with someone like toni, especially always showing late. That’s what gets lots of people in trouble or fired is always being late.

It sure looked real to me.

He stopped by our forum for a brief few days. I found him as egotistical and carried an attitude. I can see him as a not a team player. If they scripted him to be fired, they did it for a reason. They don’t get rid of people that boost ratings. Come down to earth David!

Help your self . I found through my ahnbusds recovery that I am codependent when the counselor mention it to me I thought he was crazy. My exact thought was if my husband would get better then I wouldn’t have a problem. I took the counselors advice and read the book Codependent No More by Melody Beattie and it has helped me so much. It sounds like you are trying to control him or the addiction but you can’t. I know alot of rehab centers use the The big book (Alcoholics Anonymos) so if your ex-husband has one I would suggest reading Chap. 8 To Wives and Chap. 9 The Family Afterward . Another thing that has helped us is my ahnbusds counselor alternates she sees him then she see both of us together. I’ll be honest I kinda like it when my husband watches things like that because then sees what can happen to him If he decides to use drugs or alcohol again. There are alot of support groups out there for families of addicts: Coda(Codependents Anonymous), Al-Anon(alcohol), Co-Anon(cocaine) and Nar-Anon(narcotics) and many books. Hope I’ve help! Good Luck! And Take care of yourself 1st that will help him.

That whole show is a joke.Theres no dash for cash or preset load count,it all hinges on whats going on in Prudhoe that season and what projects the oil companies are going to do that season. There are alot of good people that run and take care of that road TV makes that road and the people that run look horrible.

There is nothing wrong with tniaierng a lawyer. The way an insurance company saves money is by low balling accident victims such as yourself. An average settlement, with what you’ve paid in medical cost and lost wages, would be in the 15-20 grand range. Personal injury lawyers are skilled negotiators and will definitely get you many times more than the 2000 the insurance company is offering.
