Lite relationship advice for truckers

Facebook friends are not enough
Dear Carolyn,
I am a pretty lonely guy and can’t seem to figure out why. I am a professional truck driver, in good shape and am well read. I also have nearly 600 “friends” on Facebook. What do you think I’m doing wrong?
Billy
Dear Billy,
Driving a pick-up truck doesn’t make a guy a trucker any more than having 600 Facebook friends makes a guy popular. You have to meet real humans in order to play with humans. Stop focusing so much on your web world and start engaging in the real world. Get out more. Join a club. Take up a hobby. Buy a girl a cup of coffee.
Try doing things that put you in situations where you can meet a gal.
I’m just say’n

hi! i’m in the same situation and i agree it’s not easy to meet people, especially when you’re doin cross-border trucking like me. the problem when you meet people is to be contantly in a keep in touch situation.. and this is the harder part of our trucking life..
for me, i used facebook to tell my friends where i’m goin.. and when i could be around their neiborhood, so in that way, they can comme and pick me up to go out somewhere. this is a way a find to meet interesting people, and keep in touch with them. they know i’m a globe trotter, and they accept it. but my facebook is not only a collection of friend.. it is a way to keep in touch. try that! you’ll see, your life will be full of relation that are plenty satisfactory.
I understand how truckers feel, it’s a lonely road out there. I hear similar stories about 15 times a day. It is my job to listen to trucker’s problems being the membership director Of Christian Singles Registry. We have helped over 3000 truckers over the last 15+ years.
