Boyd Bros. Transportation, a flatbed company in Clayton, Alabama, recently announced it will begin offering new drivers a guaranteed $900 minimum weekly salary for their first four weeks on the job.
“Getting a new job should not cause a financial shortfall,” said Dwight Bassett, COO of Boyd Bros. “It takes a few weeks for drivers to get up to speed. The new minimum pay is intended to smooth out the transition to Boyd. We take care of our drivers from the very beginning.”
In addition, Boyd Bros. is helping drivers get ready for Christmas a bit early. Company drivers will receive two cents per mile for every paid mile driven between April 1 and November 30.
The bonus will be paid Dec. 2.
