Hulu original comedy pokes fun at election season

Hulu debuted a new segment in its election special Triumph: Summer Election Special 2016 Aug. 11, which pokes fun at the current political landscape.

In the second episode of the special, Triumph The Insult Comic Dog is a puppet who traveled to both political conventions to report, cover the candidates and throw around jokes. He photobombs news anchors and annoys delegates. The hour-long special offers a comedic break to a tense election year. It’s arranged in a comedy news format, reminiscent of The Daily Show.

In the first episode, Triumph reports from the primary states and spoke with candidates, their supporters and attended debates and town halls. That may all sound very serious, but Triumph is anything but.

Both segments of the comedy special are now streaming on Hulu.
