I-70 in Colorado to be closed
April 1, 2011
| by: Truckers News Staff
The Colorado Department of Transportation will close both directions of Interstate 70 at Georgetown Hill on April 5 and possibly April 6 for a large-scale rock removal operation.
Beginning at 9 a.m. on April 5, eastbound and westbound I-70 will be closed to through traffic between the U.S. 40/Empire (exit 232) and Silverthorne (exit 205) interchanges. The highway is expected to remain closed until 5 p.m.
If the work isn’t completed on April 5, I-70 will be closed in the same area during the same hours on April 6, CDOT said.
