Lane closures on I-85 in Georgia

Truckers will experience lane closures this week as construction continues on the new Express Lane System along Interstate 85 in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties, Ga.
Nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Aug. 4, the right lane of I-85 southbound will be closed from Chamblee Tucker Road to south of SR 141/Jimmy Carter Blvd. This is a three-mile long lane closure, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.
On Aug. 3, the right lane of I-85 northbound from Chamblee Tucker Road to north of SR 141/Jimmy Carter Blvd. will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. This is a three-mile long lane closure.
On Aug. 4, the right lane of I-85 southbound from SR 141/Jimmy Carter Blvd to Steve Reynolds Blvd. will be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. This is a four-mile long lane closure.
On Aug. 5, a lane of I-85 southbound will be closed at two locations. One four-mile-long lane closure will be from SR 141/Jimmy Carter Blvd. to Steve Reynolds Blvd. A second four-mile lane closure will be on I-85 southbound from north of Steve Reynolds Blvd to Boggs Road.
On Aug. 5 and 6 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m., the left or HOV lane on I-85 southbound and on SR 316 west will b closed.
