Lawler’s truck stop tour finale in Nashville

Singer/songwriter Lindsay Lawler

Lindsay Lawler’s last stop on her latest Highway Angel Truck Stop Tour will be Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. CST at the TravelCenters of America in downtown Nashville.

The country recording artist and spokesperson for the Truckload Carriers Association’s Highway Angel program said the finale includes a performance by Overdrive-Red Eye Radio’s Trucker Talent Search winner Nate Moran and a few other special guests, as well as food, drinks, a bonfire and giveaways. The performance is free and open to the public.

This is Lawler’s third year on the tour – hosted by TA and Petro Stopping Centers and sponsored by Schneider and EpicVue.

“I have had the opportunity to sing the praises of the trucking industry for several years now and it is such a loyal, amazing community of individuals who work hard to keep our country running,” said Lawler. “I started doing the Highway Angel Truck Stop Tour as a way to give back to the men and women drivers who do not have the time, opportunity or funds to hear live music. We figured we would bring it to them, while getting out on the road and spreading the good works and message of the trucking industry.

“This is our third tour and it keeps evolving each year and reaching a larger audience, especially this year with the release of ‘Goodbye Go’ on country radio. I’m so honored to be TCA’s Highway Angel spokesperson, and adore being on the road meeting new people and reconnecting with familiar faces from tours past. I can’t wait to see where 2016 takes us!”

Launched in August 1997, the Highway Angel program recognizes drivers for the unusual kindness, courtesy, and courage they have shown others while on the job.
