Love’s Travel Stops store employees recently wrapped up a record-setting campaign, which raised $2.15 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the most ever in the company’s 17-year effort.

Since 1998, Love’s has raised more than $14 million for the nonprofit.

“We’re proud of the employees who pour their energy into the campaign,” said Jenny Love Meyer, vice president of communications for Love’s. “Many hundreds of store employees volunteer their time in fundraisers for five weeks while taking care of our customers. Their dedication is essential along with the continued support of our customers, without whom we wouldn’t be able to support such a great cause at this level.”

From Aug. 25 to Sept. 30, Love’s team members sold CMN Hospitals’ Miracle Balloons for donations and organized numerous events. Some managers and employees got family members involved in the fundraising efforts. Spouses worked cookouts and children collected donations. The stores surpassed their goal of $2.1 million.

“We are continually impressed with the dedication and generosity that propels Love’s Travel Stops to exceed their fundraising goals year after year,” said John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Those results are saving kids’ lives. Love’s employees and customers should be proud of the tremendous impact they have on kids in their communities by funding vital treatments, research, equipment and charity care.”
