October may be slim on trucking events, but there’s one big blitz coming up that you should add to you calendar.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s annual Operation Safe Driver Week is Oct. 16-22. Law enforcement agencies across the country will be increasing their traffic safety enforcement.
CVSA says law enforcement will specifically be looking for:
- Speeding
- Failure to use a seat belt
- Distracted driving
- Failure to over traffic control devices
- Following too closely
- Improper lane change
Events on the calendar for October:
- Oct. 16-22: Operation Safe Driver Week enforcement blitz in United States
- Oct. 22-23: California Trucking Show at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California
