Overcoming flu

As a driver who is out on the road and who may have contact with a number of people each day, you need to know how to fight off sickness. Following are products recommended for battling flu:
Immune boosters
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention specifically recommends flu vaccinations as the best way to protect against the flu. Alternate methods such as regimens of vitamins or supplements are helpful, but according to the CDC have not been scientifically proven to directly prevent flu. Certain products, such as Vitamin C and Zinc supplements, strengthen the immune system, which can keep your body healthier and help you fight off colds before they start.
Vitamin C supplements
Nature Made’s supplements are available in tablet, liquid softgel and chewable forms. The 500-mg pill provides users with the recommended daily dosage of vitamin C to help keep your immune system healthy, the company says. A 100-pill bottle costs less than $6 at CVS Pharmacies, and Nature Made’s website offers a coupon for $1 off any Nature Made purchase when you become a member of the company’s rewards program.
