		<description>there is no problem with trucking today yes there is compatition yes there is more regulation but really nothing has changed people need to realize there is nothing you or i can do that hasnt been done before.the sooner you figure that out the better you will be. truckers keep it simple...A+B=C</description>

		<description>I was able to obtain my own authority 8 years ago by doing it myself and using some of the resources available to an owner operator.
It took less than 15 days to have everything in order. The cost was a third of these companies that advertise to do it for you.
All you have to do is be motivated and have  a brain.
The problem today is there are a lot of people attempting to be in the trucking business and have no clue. Especially when they can buy a truck for little or nothing down. (when I started you had to have 25% down, no matter what your credit) 
But that is for another topic.</description>

		<description>Just because you have your own authority and a good truck and trailer . And  like me with 11 years experience as a drive and o/o doesn’t mean your going to make it on your own. I have found that most of the good companies that broker loads  will not use you if you haven’t been in business for at less 6 months. This is a lot of bull I guess they have forgotten  what it was like to put all your money into something and hope it works. Besides what is 6 months going to tell you about a company. For instances  if I run under someone else for 6 months then  go on my own what can a company tell about me  other then I’ve been in business for 6 months. NOTHING!! I could understand if there was a reason behind it like for safety  reasons but there isn’t . I think there going about this wrong because  there is some good companies that are just getting started. They should at less consider and use the ones that can provide  proof  of there experience and safety in the trucking industry  and not just turn them away. But they fill the load boards with loads that you can’t haul.</description>
