Continental Pedestrian Bridge near Trinity GrovesThe race this year has been moved to Thursday night from its previous Saturday morning time slot, and will be held on the Continental Pedestrian Bridge near Trinity Groves instead of the truck parking lot as in previous years. The race will begin at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24, with registration and check-in beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The change in location is due in part to the Trinity Groves area’s proximity to restaurants and bars for participants and spectators. An after party will be held at LUCK, a restaurant in Trinity Groves, that will offer the Roadhouse Happy Hour with $5 craft beers and $8 club sandwiches.
Discounted registration is available before the event for $30, as well as on-site registration, with all the proceeds going to the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund. Included in the registration is a Progressive Commercial Roadhouse Run T-shirt, a runner’s bib with a built-in timer and a medallion.
Registration for GATS, which is Aug. 24-26 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, is available for free before the show begins. Attendees who register before Aug. 1 will be entered into a contest for a chance to win free hotel accommodations, VIP concert passes, VIP GATS preview passes, gift cards and more, as part of the Great GATS Giveaway.
