Roadside Medical to open 3 clinics
June 14, 2010
| by: Truckers News Staff
Roadside Medical Clinic + Lab and Pilot Travel Centers will open medical clinics at three Pilot locations in Oklahoma City; East St. Louis, Ill.; and Waco, Texas.
The Oklahoma City location will begin providing health and wellness services beginning June 25, and Waco and East St. Louis locations will provide services starting in July.
Roadside Medical plans to open six more sites throughout the U.S. this year.
All current and new Roadside Medical clinics utilize healthcare information systems, including iPads, telemedicine and the industry’s first full-function electronic medical record system for professional drivers.
Existing Roadside Medical locations are at Pilot centers (www.pilottravelcenters.com) in West Memphis, Ark.; Knoxville, Tenn.; and Cartersville, Ga. The facilities provide U.S. Department of Transportation physicals and compliance services, wellness programs, sleep apnea screening, testing and treatment, and nutritional products.
“Our expansion to three additional locations is another step in our development of a coast to coast network to support professional drivers where they need us, on the road,” said Bob Perry, president for Roadside Medical and chair for the American Trucking Associations Safety & Loss Prevention Management Council’s Health & Wellness Working Group.
A driver wellness program is available to companies and their drivers while visiting any Roadside Medical clinic, by calling (941) 225-2520 or by requesting information on www.roadsidemed.com.
