Police report the driver of a tanker died when his truck and trailer crashed and caught fire on I-270 in Ohio this morning, Jan. 23.

The crash occurred on the ramp from U.S. 33 East to I-270 North near Dublin north of Columbus, according to media reports. The Ohio Department of Transportation said the ramp will be closed for up to a week for repairs.

Local media reports quote police as saying the driver lost control of the rig on the ramp from U.S. 33 East to I-270 North and crashed. The truck was hauling up to 8,000 gallons of fuel at the time of the crash, according to Dublin police.
