Truckers News and the Truckload Carriers Association have announced a new monthly and annual company driver recognition program.

Nominees drawn from an annual solicitation will be featured as Driver of the Month. The annual winner will be drawn from those 12 finalists. Nominees are judged on safety, professional accomplishment and contributions to the industry and their community.

The contest is open to all company drivers who log a majority of their miles in the truckload segment. For nomination forms and information about rules and eligibility, visit the Company Driver of the Year contest site.

The nomination deadline is Aug. 20 for the 2011 Truckers News/ TCA Company Driver of the Year. That winner will be presented at TCA’s annual meeting, March 4-7, 2012, in Orlando, Fla.

Truckers News’ sister publication, Overdrive, and TCA are sponsoring a comparable competition for owner-operators.

The annual winners of both contests will receive prizes.
