Lite relationship advice for truckers

Weighty matters

Dear Carolyn,

I don’t know how much I weigh because my scale doesn’t go that high. I could step on the scales at the weigh station but I don’t want to risk the humiliation. I want to do better. I talk about it all the time. But I never follow it up with any action.
Can you help?

Fat Frank

Dear Frank,
Baby steps my friend. Start with putting down the fork. Next, take a walk around your truck. Add more walks. Subtract more food. Repeat. Keep repeating.

Okay, there’s more to it than that. But still. It’s a start. Most of the guys I’ve seen who have lost weight make a quiet decision that they no longer want to live to eat. They want to eat to live. And then, slowly, with fierce inner courage, they start climbing up the long, hot, dusty hill to health.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
I’m just say’n,
Carolyn

Frank should check out the Fit for the Road series in Truckers News for some great tips on how to follow up his good intentions with action:
