Veriha Enterprise, a trucking company located in Marinette, Wisc., is opening Veriha Driving Academy next month.

The new driving school expects to have the capacity to train 100-150 new drivers.

According to a statement from the company, upon acceptance into the academy, students can receive financial assistance from Veriha including financing with repayment options and tuition reimbursement after graduation. Classes are two weeks long and will include instruction to obtain a Class A-CDL including classroom, range and behind-the-wheel instruction.

Upon successful completion, students will be placed into Veriha Trucking’s driver finishing program, which includes two to three weeks of over-the-road paid training with a trainer. Then, after graduation, drivers are placed into the company’s over-the-road regional or home daily fleet.

Students finishing the program and joining Veriha Trucking can expect to earn between $40,000 and $45,000 in the first year, $45,000 and $55,000 the second and $55,000 and $65,000 over the third and subsequent years.

In addition to salary, drivers will be eligible for a benefit package, home time and company paid time-off.

Veriha Trucking, which has 317 drivers, provides dry van, refrigerated, flatbed and hazmat services.
