A Wisconsin-based trucking company received two safety awards recently.

Service One Transportation, located in Plymouth, Wisconsin, earned a Platinum Award for Outstanding Achievement in Workplace Safety from the Great West Casualty Company. It also received a Silver Award for Outstanding Achievement in Highway Safety.

Great West Casualty Company’s w0rkplace safety awards recognize trucking companies which “create and foster a safe work environment for their employees.” They use year-end workplace incident rates in making their decision. The national safety awards recognize companies with the lowest proportion of year-end preventable crash results.

Dan Flagstad, Jr., president of Service One Transportation, credited the efforts of employees at all levels for the company’s safety record.

“We believe we have a responsibility to our employees and to the motoring public to always conduct our business in a safe and prudent manner,” he said. “That culture of safety extends across all levels of our company, from management and administration to truck drivers, mechanics and dockworkers.”
