A custom truck honoring fallen police officers is one of the new trucks on display at this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show. It’s competing in the 2017 PKY Truck Beauty Championship.

The truck, a 2006 Peterbilt 379 Cottrell Car Carrier named End of Watch, belongs to husband and wife Jake and Stephanie Robak of Wisconsin. Jake works as an owner-operator with his own authority and Stephanie is a police officer and 911 dispatcher. When Jake started to put the truck together, he had Stephanie take charge on the design. She chose to honor the more than 3,000 United States law enforcement offices who have been killed in the line of duty by listing each of their names on the truck.

“I built the first three trucks we did and then my beautiful wife here said she wanted to do one and she’s in law enforcement. She’s a 911 dispatcher and road officer, so she decided to pay tribute to fallen law enforcement officers,” Jake said. “They go really unrecognized and what better way to do it than on a rolling billboard?”

Each side of the truck is dedicated to a fallen law enforcement officer and their home town. The truck’s hood honors fallen K9 officer Ranger. The truck has over 3,700 names from the last 20 years on it.

“These names matter. Not just to the family’s that lost them, but t0 law enforcement in general,” Stephanie said.

It has a 550 Caterpillar engine and 3406 E-model 13-speed transmission.

This is the first time Jake and Stephanie have competed with End of Watch in a truck show.
