A resident of the Arden Courts Memory Care Community in Winter Springs, Florida recently got a special ride into his past thanks to a nearby truck dealer. John Kober’s dementia keeps him from remembering some things on a daily basis, but he does recall he spent his long career as a truck driver behind the wheel of a Kenworth.
Arden Courts’ Heart’s Desire program recently gave Kober the opportunity to be back in a big rig for a ride. Jason Upperco of Kenworth of Central Florida – Orlando was at the wheel when he took Kober for a ride.
Upperco told WESH-TV, “Probably about five or 10 minutes into it, we started discussing the truck and different things about it. He’s a lifetime driver and trucker and I think he really enjoyed himself.”
