TomTom has announced the launch of the new TomTom Trucker, a GPS navigation device developed specifically for use by truckers.
The new device, which comes in two sizes, includes a lifetime subscription to TomTom Truck Maps, updatable over Wi-Fi. The TomTom Trucker guides drivers to selected points of interest for trucks such as fuel stops and travel centers. The Trucker is compatible with Siri voice recognition software and Google Now.
The Trucker also alerts a driver to traffic issues on both highways and secondary roads. The device also shows how far ahead the stopped traffic or accident are, as well as locations where accidents are more common.
The TomTom Trucker 620 features a 6-inch screen and the Trucker 520 has a 5-inch screen.
