Cricket players become baseball pitchers in Million Dollar ArmHollywood continues its fascination with sports agents, scouts and the quest to find the next great athlete. (See Jerry McGuire, The Scout, The Rookie.) In the latest movie of this kind, a struggling sports agent and his partner go to India to recruit what they hope is the next great baseball pitcher. Million Dollar Arm is based on a true story about two cricket players who hooked up with a U.S. sports agent by winning a reality show. Jon Hamm (Don Draper from Mad Men) stars as the agent recruiting in India, and Suraj Sharma (Pi in the Movie Life of Pi) is one of the lucky players.
