One of the greats of country music passed last weekend. Mel Tillis, who had success as a songwriter and a singer, died Sunday, Nov. 18. He was 85. During a long career, Tillis sang and wrote numerous country songs including his biggest hits “I Ain’t Never”, “Good Woman Blues”, and “Coca-Cola Cowboy”. He is survived by six children, including singer-songwriter Pam Tillis. Her are some of the songs that helped make Tillis a star.
