KLLM Transport Services, based in Jackson, Mississippi, is introducing Power In-Lock internal locking systems on its fleet’s trailers.

The system is a deadbolt style lock that provides additional protection against cargo theft. The system lets KLLM, a temperature-controlled truckload carrier, give shippers documentation proving their product wasn’t compromised at any point in transit.

Trailer doors are locked as soon as the trailers are loaded, and they’re locked from the inside where would-be thieves can’t access them, says KLLM President and CEO Jim Richards.
