Arkansas-based Maverick Transportation Tuesday, Dec. 15, announced a company-wide driver pay increase for their flatbed, glass, and dedicated divisions.
Beginning Jan. 3, Maverick is introducing an increase of 2 to 4 cents per mile for its flatbed and glass divisions, respectively. Maverick is also increasing tarp pay, short mile pay, and guarantee pay for over-the-road drivers. These increases translate to compensation growth for both student and experienced drivers. Student drivers will now earn .51to .54 CPM and experienced drivers will earn .56-.64 CPM, depending on division and experience.
“We are very pleased to announce this multi-faceted driver pay increase,” said John Culp, president of Maverick Transportation. “The driving job is more challenging than ever and we are proud to be an industry leader in driver compensation.”
A statement from Maverick said its drivers also can earn a pay-for-performance bonus, have numerous home time options, weekly and weekend guarantee pay, paid pre-employment evaluation and training, company-paid life insurance, health, and dental insurance options, and paid vacation.
Founded in 1980 and based in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Maverick operates about 1,600 units.
