Celadon Trucking Services (#39 on Commercial Carrier Journal’s Top 250 list) just purchased 1,500 new tractors for its fleet. The Indianapolis-based carrier bought:
- International ProStar tractors for the company’s core driving fleet
- Kenworth T680 tractors from Paccar for its Expedited team operations;
- International LoneStar models for the Lease Purchase division.
“One of Celadon’s hallmarks has always been the newness of our company fleet, said Celadon CEO and President Paul Will. “The key for us with these new ProStar tractors is to help recruit company drivers to our fleet as well as offer a reward to our existing company drivers.”
Danny Williams, vice president of Quality Companies said the acquisition of the new LoneStar trucks provides its lease purchase operators what he called “… a one of a kind experience that cannot be matched anywhere else in the marketplace.”
Celadon Group, Inc. provides long-haul, regional, local, dedicated, intermodal, temperature-protect and expedited freight service across North America.
