New feature on tap at GATS: local brews in beer garden

New to the Great American Trucking Show this year is the GATS Beer Garden, which will feature a different local brewery each day with three beers on tap.

Wet your whistle at GATS.

On Thursday, Aug. 27, Grapevine Brewery will make its Hopfest United IPA, Sir Williams (an English-style brown ale) and Lakefire Rye Pale Ale offerings available from 12:30-4 p.m.

On Friday, Aug. 28, Franconia Brewery will have their Dunkle (a dark lager), Koelcsh (a light golden German beer) and Amber brews available from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Aug. 29, Deep Ellum will offer their Blonde, IPA and Easy Peasy (an IPA) beers on tap from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you aren’t a fan of trying new beer, there will also be Bud Light, Coors Light and more.

Even though your GATS attendee badge gets you all-access to the show, a valid photo ID is required for the beer garden, as it’s only for attendees 21 and older.
