Ryder has been recognized by the American Red Cross for pledging a minimum of $1 million in cash, goods, or services to the Annual Disaster Giving Program over a two-year period.

Ryder has pledged these donations on an ongoing basis to help enable the Red Cross to respond immediately to major disasters. Robert Sanchez, Ryder chairman and CEO, said the company has committed more than $3 million in cash donations and other services to the Red Cross since 2009.

Ryder employees are also participating in National Preparedness Month, which occurs yearly in September.
