The Central Valley and San Joaquin units of the California Trucking Association will host a Truck Driver Appreciation Day Tuesday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time at the Chowchilla River Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility in Le Grand, California.
A free sit-down or to-go lunch will be available for drivers while supplies last. Officers from the California Highway Patrol and representatives from the California Trucking Association will be present. Driver safety and industry information will be distributed and a California Highway Patrol K9 demonstration is planned.
