A trucker with 50 years on the road was chosen by the Pilot Company as its 2023 Road Warrior grand prize winner.

Don Crouse has been an over-the-road driver for more than 50 years, and today drives for the trucking division of Boyd Grain of Washington, Indiana.

Crouse honors fallen soldiers through his work with Wreaths Across America and serves as a part of the official escort to Arlington National Cemetery. He and his wife, Cindy, have expanded this work through ceremonies honoring America’s heroes throughout Indiana. His truck features 64 veterans who have given their lives for the country.

Crouse won $15,000.

The second runner-up was Robert Palm, a trucker for 42 years and the founder of Truckers Final Mile. He received $10,000.

Angelique Temple was the contest's third place winner. The owner-operator has been driving for over 20 years. She received $5,000.
