Moran Transportation recently its acquisition of Ohio-based RMX Freight Systems Inc.
"This strategic move will enhance our capacity to serve customers across the Midwest and extend our direct services into Ohio and parts of West Virginia.With RMX's strong regional presence and dedicated team, we’re set to elevate our operational efficiency and customer service.," Moran said on Facebook.
The acquisition will give the combined companies 12 service centers and over 675 pieces of equipment.
Mopran has seven service centers covering the states of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri and Minnesota. Its Midwest sort center being located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Moran said the integration process begins Monday, Nov. 11.
WEL Companies owner regconized
The Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association recently inducted Bruce Tielens, owner of WEL Companies in De Pere, Wisconsin, into the WMCA Haul of Fame!
In annoiuncing the honor, the WMCA said, "Bruce’s outstanding leadership and long-standing contributions to the trucking industry have left an indelible mark. As a visionary and dedicated industry advocate, he has played a pivotal role in advancing safety and service standards, benefiting not only his company but inspiring peers across the state and beyond.We are honored to recognize Bruce’s remarkable achievements and lasting impact on the industry."
The WEL Companies was founded in 1975 by Bruce, and his father Wally. Bruce and his brother Randy purchased the company and added warehousing services.
According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's SAFER website, the WEL Companies has 377 power units and 387 drivers.
