Aim Transportation Solutions recently announced its fleet maintenance shop in Gainesville, Georgia, has been named the 2024 Aim Shop of the Year.

The award recognizes the outstanding performance, dedication, and exceptional service that the local team consistently delivers, according to a statement from the company.

The Aim Shop of the Year award is given annually to the shop that exemplifies excellence in maintenance, customer service, safety and team collaboration. Aim’s Gainesville shop was selected because of its consistent ability to meet and exceed Aim’s high standards, as well as its role in helping maintain the more than 11,000 commercial vehicles that Aim services across the country, according to Aim.

Under the leadership of Chris Disantis, executive vice president of Maintenance, the shop has achieved success in maintaining operational efficiency and providing customer satisfaction. The team at the shop has been instrumental in driving Aim’s commitment to fleet excellence and safety.

“Our Gainesville location was our top goal performer this year,” Disantis said. “This is truly a team atmosphere; the dedication and teamwork displayed by every member of the team has been incredible.

“The team goes above and beyond every day, ensuring that our customers fleets are running smoothly and safely. Their success is a direct result of their passion for the work they do and their commitment to Aim’s mission. It is an honor to recognize their hard work and exceptional service. They set a high standard for our entire maintenance team.”

Since Justin Torgerson joined the Aim team, he has steadily moved up the ranks, being promoted to working foreman in 2021 and service manager in 2023.

“I started with Aim as a diesel mechanic apprentice back in 2008, and it’s been an incredible journey to where I am today,” said Torgerson, Aim’s Gainesville service manager.

“Leading this team now is a real honor. The hard work and dedication of everyone at the shop is what’s behind this recognition, and it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come together. We’re all committed to delivering top-notch service, and I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished as a team.”

The Gainesville team earning the Shop of the Year award comes on the heels of Newsweek naming Aim one of the Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces for the second consecutive year. This honor, based on employee satisfaction and engagement, further underscores Aim’s commitment to fostering a positive, supportive work culture—values that are evident in the achievements of this award-winning fleet maintenance facility.

“Being recognized as a Most Loved Workplace highlights the outstanding culture we’ve built at Aim, and our shop in Gainesville, Georgia, exemplifies that culture in action,” said Matt Svancara, chief operating officer at Aim. “Our company’s success is driven by the strength of our teams, and the dedicated individuals at the shop showcase that spirit daily. Their passion and commitment reflect the inclusive and supportive environment that makes Aim a top workplace.”
