If your driving takes you on Interstate 24 between Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee, you should be prepared for some delays for the next two weeks.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said that as part of the US 41 bridge replacement project over I-24, there are several total closures happening over the next week or so, weather depending.
Crews will be installing breams for the new bridge. Here’s the plan (all closures from 7pm – 6am local time):
- April 7-9 – Total closure of I-24 East, US 41 bridge over I-24 closed
- April 10-14 – Total closure of I-24 West, US 41 bridge over I-24 closed
- April 15-16 – Total closure of I-24 East, US 41 bridge over I-24 closed
- April 17 – Total closure of I-24 West, US 41 bridge over I-24 closed
