Transportation Secretary Duffy to also oversee NASA temporarily

President Donald Trump has appointed Secreraty of Transportation Sean Duffy to also oversee NASA as its interim leader.

Trump previously withdrew the niomination of tech billionaire Jared Isaacman, an associate of former Trump adviser Elon Musk.

Trump announced Duffy’s appointment in a Truth Social post last week. He said of Duffy, “He will be a fantastic leader of the ever more important Space Agency, even if only for a short period of time."

"Honored to accept this mission. Time to take over space. Let's launch," Duffy wrote on X in response.

Before leading the DOT, Duffy was a congressman from Wisconsin and a TV host on Fox Business.

NASA’s current head, Janet Petro, will step aside for Duffy.
