When Christmas is on the line, Santa Claus turns to a big rig to complete his gift delivery rounds.
That's the premise of Santa's 18-Wheel Chrome-And-Steel Sleigh, a new children's book from author J. Brandon Boron and illustrator Shaun Ivie.
When Santa Claus is about to begin his deliveries, he finds his trusty reindeer feeling unwell.
"Rudolph's nose, well, it weren't so bright.

"Blitzen, Cupid and Dasher all had the flu."
Four of the other reindeer 'just shrugged their shoulders and looked away," continues this tale of Christmas eve woe.
However, one of them suggests Santa use a tractor-trailer to make his rounds.
Donner says, "You've got that big old rig parked up in the back, and with some help from the elves, we'll get 'er packed."
And, (in true trucker style) with a 64 ounce cup of coffee to go, Santa hits the road, chatting on his CB as he goes. The book details all of the international stops he makes before returning to the North Pole.
The book is based on a song which Boron wrote, as you read along by scanning a QR code in the book.
Santa's 18-Wheel Chrome-And-Steel Sleigh includes a list of suggested questions for a discussion about the story as well as a sample letter to Santa kids can write.
The book is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Mascot Kids for $19.95.
