Two veteran drivers were recently named the Citizen Driver Award winners for 2026 by the Travel Centers of America.

This year's winners are:

  • Bruce Jones of Hoffman Transportation
  • Steven Brand of FedEx Freight

They were recognized at the recent Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jones is a Marine Corps veteran and has been a professional driver for 289 years. In that time he has logged 4 million accident and ticket-free miles. He's also logged 1 million miles as a tanker driver.

Jones is a member of the driver advisory board, mentors other drivers and is active in youth and veterans programs.

Brand has logged 4.8 million miles during his 36 years as a professional driver. He also serves as a mentor to other drivers.

Brand is active in youth programs and other community service.

Each driver will have a Travel Centers of America location named in their honor. Each received $5,000 and had a $2,500 donation made in their name to a charity of their choice.
