A veteran trucker with a long history of success was recently honored by a state trucking organization.
Tom Segebart, who drives for Walmart Transportation, was named the 2025 Kansas Driver of the Year by the Kansas Motor Carriers Association.
During his 45-year career, Segebart has driven 4.5 million safe miles with, as the association said in its Facebook post, "Not one shortcut."
Segebart was the association's Driver of the Month for March of 2025.
"Nearly five decades behind the wheel, a driver mentor, a certified trainer, and now Kansas's entry for the ATA National Driver of the Year," said the association. "Tom, the entire Kansas trucking industry is proud of you. This one's well-earned."
