States combine on inspection effort; 15 trucks, 10 drivers placed OOS

A four-hour-long inspection effort in Wyoming sidelined a number of tyrcuks and drivers.

On Wednesday April 29, Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers and officers joined forces with Utah Highway Patrol troopers and Department of Transportatio agents in a saturation detail. The 4-hour operation focused on Interstate 80 at the Utah/Wyoming border. 

Inspectors were looking for safety violations and trucks that were skipping the Evanston and Echo ports of entry. In total 34 trucks were inspected. 

A total of 153 violations were found, 15 trucks and 10 drivers were put out of service, and 10 drivers put out of service. 

"We have great appreciation for the assistance given by our allied agencies in keeping Interstate 80 safe for all travelers," the highway patrol said in a social media post.
