170 empty beer bottles in truck's cab

Police in New Hampshire made a bewildering discovery when they encountered a truck driver block a school bus lot.

On Oct. 23, the Bow Police Department said in a recent social media post that officers responded to a report that a commercial vehicle was blocking in school buses at a bus lot in Bow, New Hampshire in the south central part of thew state.

Officers made contact with the truck driver, who refused to exit the vehicle. The truck driver, who police identified as Edgar Ramirez, 33, of Odessa, Texas, was removed from the cab after a brief struggle with police.

Ramirez was “ultimately determined to be driving while intoxicated" and arrested, according to Bow PD.

As part of the investigation, officers said they discovered about 170 empty beer bottles in the cab of the truck.

“Several hours earlier, the Bow Police Department was searching for this same tractor trailer after it was reportedly leaving a truck stop with an intoxicated driver. At that time, officers were not able to locate the truck,” BPD said on Facebook.

Ramirez faces multiple charges, including:

  • Driving while intoxicated
  • Open container of alcohol
  • Resisting arrest
