
A former inmate in a Florida jail recently received her commercial driver's license while incarcerated.
Ajiah Gee has become the first woman inmate to graduate from the Walton County Jail CDL Program, earning her Class A CDL with no restrictions. In addition to her Class A license, the 25-year-old also earned her Double/Triple Trailer endorsement, "T", and a Tanker endorsement, "N".
A recent "X" post by the Walton County Sherif's Department said, "These accomplishments take hard work, dedication, and determination. All qualities Ajiah has shown every step of the way while working alongside her instructor, Tim Castiglione. Congratulations, Ajiah. Thank you for paving the way for others to follow."
Gee had served a year in jail on drug-related charges, according to jail records.
