TravelCenters of America and Mobil Delvac, maker of heavy-duty diesel engine oil, to donate $50,000 to Folds of Honor, an organization providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. This is the fourth year in a row TA and Mobil Delvac have supported the organization.
“The mission of Folds of Honor portrays perfectly our appreciation for Veterans and our desire to educate the leaders of tomorrow. We want to honor Veterans’ sacrifice and educate their legacy,” said Barry Richards, president of TA.
“Veterans sacrifice so much in service to our country and we are proud to honor them by supporting scholarships that will aid their families and improve their lives through education,” added Kristine Amy, Mobil Delvac USA commercial brand manager.
To date, TA and Mobil Delvac have donated a total of $200,000 to Folds of Honor.
Love’s latest opens in Arizona; adds 57 parking spots
Love’s Travel Stops today opened its newest store in Cordes Junction, Arizona. It’s located off Interstate 17 about 75 miles north of Phoenix and includes 57 truck parking spaces.

Golden Oil’s new store opens in March
Golden Oil Co. will open a two-story Amoco fuel station and convenience store in East Somers, Wisconsin in March of 2021. The new location will also serve as Golden Oil’s headquarters, according to a statement from the company.
The 7,500-square-foot facility will feature three fast food restaurants, including Subway, Hunt Brothers Pizza, and Chester’s Chicken.
Other Golden Oil locations are in Wisconsin are in Janesville, Sun Prairie, Cottage Grove, Osseo, and Brownsville.
East Somers is located about 30 miles south of Milwaukee.
Appeals court overturns convictions of former Pilot executives
A federal appeals panel on Oct. 14 overturned the convictions for the former president of Pilot Flying J and two of his former employees related to fraud in the company’s fuel rebate program.
A three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati ruled that jurors should not have heard recordings of racist language by the company’s former president, Mark Hazelwood, according to numerous press reports. Hazelwood was convicted in 2018 of conspiracy, wire fraud and witness tampering.
