Optimus Prime stunt truck
Rick Hendrick was the high bidder on the 1979 custom Peterbilt that was the stunt truck for Optimus Prime in the “Transformers” movie.
The owner of the Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR team reportedly paid $110,000 for it at the recent Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Hendrick’s team includes #5 Kasey Kahne, #24 Chase Elliott, #48 Jimmie Johnson and #88 Dale Earnhardt Jr.
AutoGuide.com reports Hendrick also paid $1.2 million for the first 2017 Acura NSX.
