Navistar has announced a recall for some 300 International trucks because of a battery problem. Subject to the recall are:
- 2017 International 9900i manufactured between June 20 and Dec. 8, 2016
- 2017 International LoneStar manufactured between July 12 and Dec. 6, 2016
- 2017 International ProStar manufactured between June 17 and Oct. 28, 2016
- 2017 International TranStar manufactured between June 13 and Oct. 21, 2016
Navistar says the affected vehicles have a metallic battery cover that could unlatch and cause an electrical short, which increases the risk of a fire. The recall is expected to begin Feb. 17.
