Duct taped door on out of service truckCorman Park Police DepartmentOn Feb. 1, a an officer with the Corman Park Police Department became aware of a semi-truck deemed unfit for travel on Highway 11 within the Rural Municipality of Corman Park, Saskatchewan, Canada near Saskatoon.
A Facebook post by the Corman Park Police Department said that upon locating the vehicle, it was found to be in a condition rendering it unfit for service. The truck had
- smashed side windows covered with duct tape
- severely damaged windshield obstructing the driver's view
- driver's side mirror held together with duct tape
The vehicle was immediately removed from service and towed from the highway, pending a Periodic Motor Vehicle Inspection (PMVI), according ro Corman Park police.
The driver was issued multiple citations and the carrier, South West Bulk Express, was said to be notified of the violated safety issues.
Soyth West Bulk Express says that the driver is no longer employed with the company.
