Sixty-two years ago, the Pennsylvania Railroad used this film to showcase its Truck Train service, which eventually became known as piggybacking. This 1955 film explains what it calls āthe most recent step in the progress of American transportationā and the opening of a new frontier. In the film, the railroad claims Truck Train would help ease the burden of congestion on the nationās highways as well as provide fast, affordable service to shippers.
